People die to do MBA from a reputed institution just for the sake of good jobs but there are examples like that of Chhavi Rajawat who inspires us by leaving the job of Times of India, Airtel and Carlson Group of Hotels. But why she left these jobs? Being among the top 10 digital marketing companies in India, we tried to find this out and the answer is really motivating. She left all this to bring about a change and that too in the grass root level. Yes, she left all this and returned to her village Soda, located in the Tonk District of Rajasthan to choose the profile of Sarpanch. She is now the youngest Sarpanch in India with an MBA degree.

Chhavi Rajawat, in order to bring change in her village, started working on bringing solar power for electricity, better water, toilets and even a bank along with good roads to her village. Instead of choosing the nice life in Mumbai, Pune or any other developed city, she thought of making a change and finally did it. There are many facts that shocks related to her, like being a elected representative, she still is not affiliate to any of the political parties. So far, she completed the construction of over 40 roads, and was able to provide good drinking water with an uninterrupted water supply. In an interview with NDTV, she said, “If India continues to make progress at the same pace as it has for the past 65 years since independence, it just won’t be good enough. We’ll be failing people who dream about having water, electricity, toilets, schools and jobs. I am convinced we can do it differently and do it faster,”.

She started even before Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan

She constructed toilets in approximately 800 houses out of 900 in the Soda village and that too before the start of Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. This clarifies that you need not to be a part of any abhiyaan to start anything. Initiative can be taken by anyone and at any time even without posing with a broom. This shows her willingness and strong will to mark change.
